Our Youth Programs


…Picture a small area on a hill, a watershed… a teen.  Each watershed must be born, built-up, cleansed, maintained and healthy so that all the water it receives from above... living water... can flow through and from it unhindered, carrying with it much needed nutrients… God stuff… enriching its surroundings and having a positive impact on everything in its path… other teens… as it flows through the greater far reaching watershed system... our youth group, our friends and our surrounding community.

Wednesdays from 7-9 PM  Junior and Senior Youth groups gather together for silly and Spiritual stuff; including worship led by our own Youth worship team @udiotribute, time in the word for Junior and Senior Youth, prayer,  ministry and ministry training, games, and just hanging out with God’s big kids.

Watershed is the place for you!  Twice a month, Watershed meetings will provide ministry and ministry training opportunities for Junior and Senior Youth – Practical and fun activities for BWAC Youth and their friends.


 

Junior Youth

Quave is a new program for the Grade 7 kids of BWAC and the surrounding communities. 

The name Quave combines two words;  the earthquake, symbolic of experiencing God’s power which is indeed earth shaking, and the wave, symbolic of God’s love that envelopes, surrounds and pushes us further into the depths of the unknown with Him.

This September at the Watershed, Quave will begin a walk through the life of Christ through the eyes of the apostle John, a disciple and one of Jesus’ closest friends.  Our interactive journey begins as we dive into God’s word and use aids like the movie The Gospel of John, games and more. Parental support and at-home participation will be encouraged as kids study a chapter of John each week complete with thought provoking questions.

Quave’s bi-weekly social events will be held on Friday nights, alternating with Senior Youth events.



Senior Youth
This group is for teens in grades 9 through 12. All BWAC teens, community teens and friends are welcome at Watershed meetings & Senior Youth outings!

Weekly Watershed meetings include worship with the BWAC Youth band, @udiotribute, time in the word, ministry and ministry training, coffee house nights (hang with friends) and other activities that aren’t geared for toddlers or old folks.
